I need to try to get ahold of the kitty

The food kitty, that is.
One of the local grocery stores has a program wherein if you spend a certain amount in the store, and in each department, you get money back towards the next time you visit. Well, I didn't notice until about two weeks ago, that my purchases weren't being counted.
I've tried calling several times and I even emailed. The email I received back wasn't helpful. I need to try to call them today to see about getting my card fixed and my points reward retroactively, but I'm not looking forward to it.
How long would you stay on hold before hanging up?

I don't know, maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Those call back systerms aren't perfect though..I called the credit union yesterday. The phone queue was long, and I opted for a calback. they said 15 minutes which came and went..finally I called them,,,35 minutes after the time they said they would call, they called, by then I had it taken care of already.

I know that the customer service industry is probably being heavily taxed at the moment. I can't help but wonder if I'll even get ahold of anyone today. I figure I'll stay on hold for about an hour.
The cashier I talked to seemed to think that they would retroactively credit me, so I guess it doesn't matter if I get ahold of the this month or two months from now..

That is what I was doing this morning. I had the phone beside me while I used mylot. I was able to get through this time, though it seems as if the fault was my own. I have to enable the shop and earn each month.

@LadyDuck The lady told me I must visit the page on the first of the month. I've been doing that usually, but was not aware that I had to do that.

That is essentially what this is. We spend a certain amount per department and once we've reached that amount, we get a certain amount back.

Food Lion has the shop and earn program. Yeah you have enable it every month. You just reminded me that I need to do it.

Apparently, I've always done it without realizing it. Last month I didn't make a list at the beginning of the month so didn't go to the site to populate the offers.

I have stayed on hold for quite some time in the past. I'm glad several companies have an option to call you back when it's your turn. I like that the best.

Yes, I like that option. Unfortunately, this store doesn't have that. I also can't get help at the store, which I think is annoying.
