OOPS!!! I am having tough time because of these hiccups…. I tried sipping water, still no use. Thought, drawing attention towards something else would help, but that’s not helping either…. Need some advice, how to cut these hiccups down….

@Aansh13 I'm glad. Hiccup happens once in a while to me too. The best is when it stops.

Hi there! Well, here in the Philippines, we have different ways on how to stop the hiccups. For babies, we take a loose yarn from the baby's blanket, lick the yarn to make it stick on the baby's forehead. I'm not sure but it seems to work. For adults, someone should give you a fright. You can also eat sugar. However, what really works for me is water. Sipping won't work, though. You will need to take big gulps. Good luck!

I have never had a problem with hiccups and I am a senior citizen. Do you know what causes them?

You could try holding your breath for as long as you can.

Take a spoonful of sugar and eat it fast. For me it always helps. Though better avoid, if you allergic to it. Hope it helps

I wish I have some advice. When I get one, I just let it be and soon it's gone.
