Probably a poor choice of words right now, but hey I am probably going to hades for all the memes and such I have laughed as it, so might as well just let it happen.
So my mom has made it very clear, She is NOT a Taylor Swift fan.
She doesn't like her voice, she just cannot listen to her music for that long.
As for me, I love Taylor Swift. Her music was literally perfect for me when I was a teenager and going into my 20s and heck even now some songs can represent my life at the moment.
So it is obvious that I listen to her A LOT
Today, while my mom was at Home Depot trying to find some paint and screws because we are going to be building my Funko Pop shelf soon, she caught herself singing along to the song that was playing in the store.
Yes, yes, she was singing along to Taylor Swift.
She didn't know the song title, so when she came in to tell me she goes, "It's the one something about belonging"
and I said "You Belong With Me" and I was right.
So even though my mom is not a fan of Taylor, she still ended up singing along to her music because of how much I listen to her. Muhahaha!!!
(now if only she would listen to Hamilton...)

I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I actually love that song! My girlfriend is a huge Swiftie, so I tolerate her music to keep my gf happy. Actually, some of her music is pretty good. I just liked her better when she was a country singer instead of a pop singer.

@DesirousDreamer Well, that's because even in her country days, her music really wasn't country. Back then, a lot of people complained that her music was "too pop" to be considered country. And then when she actually crossed over to pop, the country people complained that she sold out to her roots and let them down by not remaining "country."

@moffittjc Well it is called country pop haha like country rock exists. Genres blend all the time. Pop punk is my favorite genre. I like both pop and punk and mixing it together just makes it better.

I love everything from back then and to now. I don't care for country that much, but she made it fun and I love her pop side now.

I think Taylor Swift is beautiful, I've never heard her music. When my daughter was a teenager, she played the same music over and over again, for about five years! I hated to hear the Eagles music, after that.

She is gorgeous and I love her voice and she is so sweet.
My mom and I have very similar music tastes, but this is just one of those misses.

That's right if you're not a fan of a certain singer and you sing her song there's nothing wrong about especially if the song is good and easy to sing.
