April 3 - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's been an interesting day. Let me tell you why I'm thankful.
I'm thankful for food. I have a full fridge and freezer.
I'm thankful all my bills are paid.
I'm thankful for spending some time here with you.
I'm thankful for the exercise I got today, both at the store while I shopped and on my walk this afternoon. I currently have 9548 steps, the most I've ever had. My knees aren't as happy as I am with those numbers. I'll pacify them with Ibuprofen when I go to bed in a few minutes.
I'm thankful my best friend called me back today. I called her yesterday and left a voice message. I've known her since my daughter was a year old, so over 40 years. She has health issues, and I'm thankful with what she told me the last couple of months have been like, that I didn't go to her funeral. She's doing well.

So glad she's doing well. I hope it stays that way.
We have to restock the fridge, and a little of the freezer. But mostly the fridge with fruits for mom and some meats.
That's alot of steps! Way to go! I've only got like 3,000 today. Been resting my body all day due to my ibs.

I was thinking about how blessed I am that this happened this year. Last year I retired and paid off mortgage. I'm certainly praying for those who aren't as blessed, and I'm also thankful that a number of companies are understanding and announcing payment deferment for a month (we even had one apartment complex's owners here in town give all the tenants free rent for this month so they don't have to worry about it!!!).
I got exercise today, too. I walked over three miles. It felt so good.

That's totally awesome the apartment complex gave free rent to everyone so the tenants didn't need to add that worry to the rest of their worries.
I'm glad you have your home paid off and you retired. Awesome blessings. That's great you walked over three miles.

Ive ended up having to do alot of heat on my ankle. I think the weather is making it crankier. I am happy for everyone's continued good health, or at least no Corona.

I am thankful to read positive posts from you Valerie. Last night I was quite annoyed at reading some posts. Such as I'm bored, I went out shopping for coca cola. What the hell is wrong with people. I do not want to read any more of their self pitying selfish posts so it is time for a cull. There are far more worthy people to read such as yourself. I am very thankful for that!

That's the reason I started doing thankful posts. I was reading so many woe is me posts and so much negativity. There's more to life than selfish negativity.
