Good Morning Philippines!

Here in the US we spend a lot of our day here. It is 444 pm as I write this here. 444 pm central time in the US. But, over there in the Philippines, our Filipino friends are either still in bed or just waking up. It's 544am over there on the 6th. I always marvel at this. I go to bed, or sign off from here, and wake up the next day to find I have lots and lots of notifications, a lot of them from our Filipino friends having their daytime while we have our nighttime. So as I near the end of my MyLot day, I say GOOD MORNING to my Filipino friends. May your day be prosperous. I guess I will get back to you later as YOU sleep while I am awake. See y'all on the other side.

Yes. Before I go to bed, I say good morning to a new day in my home country Philippines. BTW, I thought you are in the Philippines now.

@thelme55 Oh. No. I am definitely in the United States. Right here in the heartland of the country in the Midwest.

One friend from Serbia said to me once, 'Hey, I stepped into a time machine!'

@porwest One member is yawning at 1:00A, commenting that they've stayed up too late! While another member is waking up to an alarm clock, just beginning their work day.

I feel the same way toward my Indian friends. I dunno if it's a ten or eleven hour difference, but we're experiencing different parts of our days when we write.

@Nakitakona No. Affinity can sometimes mean that. But mostly it means "a spontaneous or natural liking or sympathy for someone or something." I have been around Filipinos my whole life being that my father was in the Navy. Either many sailors marries Filipinos, or many Filipinos joined the United States Navy. I was also in the Navy myself and worked with a lot of them. Very nice people. So, I have always liked Filipinos.
