The beets are delicious. I just had one as a snack.

The beets were very tender. I have some cilantro leaves and was planning to have a beet salad. But I decided to taste one and I did not stop until I ate it all up. In my country, beets are sold in packages of 5. I almost cooked only 3 as they are not good after a few days. Every vegetable that has too much sugar must be eaten soon. Anyway, I cooked all of them as they weren´t very big. And Now there are 4. I ate one with no dressing of any kind or cilantro. The sweetness of it was more than enough. Do you like beets?

@marguicha I do but only if they are in a burger or sandwich. I'm not really fond of eating them by themselves.

It seems the beets are not available here. Perhaps it is a vegetable grows in the north place. I am not sure. I like something sweet. Do you eat it as the fruit?

It is something similar to potatoes. And they grow in the southern hemisphere.

How did you cook them? My family does not care for them, but I have enjoyed them outside of home.

@much2say After they are cooked, I dice finely fresh cilantro leaves and dress them with salt, oil and lemon juice.

I can’t stand beats and there is nothing that I have tried that made them even remotely edible. But to each their own. I don’t like pickles or peanut butter and everyone else seems to love it.
