Betty spoke with love as she was now fully born from love

Betty Davison was a speaker. She would give talks at her old people's home for the other ladies, as she had been a speaker too, in her previous life, before the nursing home environment. Here is one of her latest speeches, to an audience of ten old ladies, and five old men, who came along to hear her talking. "Good Morning, my fellow inmates, no, not inmates, that sounds like you are in a prison, no, I should rather say, my friends here with me in this home." "God waits for no-one, but we wait for him. We are all waiting here, in some ways for our eventual entry into God's kingdom." "Have we lived a good life, are we satisfied with our living?" "We have asked these questions of ourselves, and now, at this stage in our lives, we cannot change anything in our past, nor much in our future either." "We are in a way station, waiting for the next train to our next destination." As she talked, Betty swayed slightly from side to side. It was obvious that she was having trouble maintaining her balance. Just then, as she said, "Love keeps us alive to ourselves, to God, and to others," she smiled, and keeled over onto the floor. Betty had gone. She was now really on that new train going to Heaven. Erich Fromm, ( 23/03/1900 to 18/03/1980) an American psychologist said this. Love is always already fully born in all parts of God's creation, but life is about moving from the non-born parts of you into this fully born part of you. Not many can become fully born in love in their lifetimes, so I think that Fromm's statement is mostly true of most, but not of all. It was certainly not true of Betty! Love has great powers and some people are overloaded with it.

Thanks. Yes, I am at home, in isolation from this virus, and I am/was thinking of my old Aunty in the nursing home. Nobody is allowed to visit her now. She is alright, because I tried to call her on the phone, but they were too busy to take a phone to her room, but at least, I know she is ok.

In a way, we are all inmates now within our own homes with our freedom curtailed. Some do wonder whether life will be back again as we knew it! Can we nail the virus or will it mutate? I have met a few who are love personified like Betty and they reinforce our faith and belief in the goodness of humanity and the presence of our creator in each of us - siva

Yes, it is really good when we meet such a person. I remember I met one man like that once. He said nothing to me from across a room, but he smiled at me in such a way, that it reached right into my heart, and opened it up spontaneously. The whole body of myself smiled back at him. My whole body was quivering from that one touch of real love. I felt God moving between us.

@innertalks Yes, some casual words leave a deep impression too. I met a businessman and asked him how he was doing. He said times were tough at times but he counts his blessings as his graph keeps growing over a period of years despite hiccups from time to time. He is more than blessed that way and does not want to add to gathering gloom - siva .

@Shiva49 Yes, that's also true, but I do remember that feeling more deeply than I remember any words. I do remember the words of the old bookshop owner who I bought his shop from though. He said to me, "There is a buyer for every book." Or, in other words, do not rule anything out, the world of possibility is endless. I had asked him why he stocked such little know titles, that I thought would never sell. I had thought, just keep the popular stuff, but he brought me up right with that statement. People are not looking for the everyday popular stuff, but for their own unique find, of something special, which can often be found in the depths of an old secondhand bookshop. "There is a path for every person," he might have said too
