Boris Johnson is in ICU

Last evening while I was my lotting and listening to the radio I was very concerned to hear that our Prime minister has been moved into Intensive care. This kind of decisions is not taken lightly by any means due to the scarcity of beds and the extraordinary pressure all our hospitals are under at the moment. The week before last Boris announced that he had been tested positive for the virus and had been self isolating but working from Downing Street. On Friday this week he appeared on television telling the public that we should not go out over the weekend. He looked dreadfully ill to me and at the time I thought hmm he needs to be in hospital. Saturday on the advice of his Doctor he was moved into St. Thomas's hospital opposite the Houses of Parliament. This is one our best hospitals in the whole of the UK. So it seems that he is in ICU and having pressurised oxygen administered as opposed to full ventilation at the moment. In the interim he had already announced should the need arise then our Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab would stand in on his behalf and lead the government. He has received get well messages from Leaders all over the world. We are also hoping that he makes a full recovery but he will need to slow down to recover once he is over this. This photo is of him on Thursday evening when he appeared on the steps of Downing street to clap for all the health care staff working in the NHS and in other roles. He looked quite poorly to me then but on Friday he looked really quite unwell. Other ministers of the government have also tested positive but they have recovered so fingers crossed for him. I do hope he recovers.
