How do you clean the house with depression?

Sometimes depression affects us so much that we can't do much. I am trying to force myself to clean the house, but this makes me more tired. I am not cleaning more than a room, but I still feel tired. I am tired even if I am not doing anything. Do you have any tips for cleaning when you have depression?

By training do you mean physical exercise? I can't do this because I feel pain behind knees. It is terrible pain.

@Nevena83 I think I have a psysical problem. In the past I did physical exercises and since then my knees are painful. I shouldn't have done any exercises without a doctor's approval. Now I ruined my knees. I will have to do a test to see what I have. The doctor told me that my knees aren't normal. The left one hurts the most. I tried exercises a few days ago. But the pain is worse. I am not sure if I should continue the exercises for my knees. I can't walk if I continue to do them.

A little bit here, a little bit there. Even a small amount of progress is progress to be celebrated. Sometimes you need a bit of external help. If this has been going on for a while it might be time to reach out to your doctor to see if they can prescribe something to help you feel a bit more normal.

I am taking medication, but it doesn't help. I need other things in my life.

@dya80dya You might need to have your dose adjusted. Sometimes it takes a while to find the right thing for you. Is online therapy an option for you? That can help a lot, too. If the tiredness has been going on for a while it's possible there could be an underlying cause beyond depression, too.

@yukimori I already tried online therapy for more than a year. It helped, but not much. I tried several meds and I can't tolerate them. I can take only a half of each pill.

It might not be good for the amount of cleaning to be done but have you considered a pet?they can make a world of difference.I know i have had some real dark times and they always change my outlook give me a reason to get out of my own head if you will.I would say my dogs saved my life one time,not wanting to leave them stranded i found another solution then what i had on my mind.However they most likely will cause there to be more cleaning and you will become their 2 legged slave but all in all they can be life changing for the better.Just my 2 cents

@dya80dya Awwww poor puppy dawg :( Myself i had to upgrade to big king size bed when my girlfriend moved in so that i could hopefully be able to have enough space to lay on my back with my 2 dogs lol They are not big but they are exceptional at claiming all the best space

I have also been feeling the same as you. So every day I take one part of the house which I thoroughly clean. Maybe just a cupboard or just a table but I force myself to do one part at least.
