Was out checking out the plants in my yard earlier. Forgot about the chives. I noticed one tiny bud so far. I usually have enough to use in my salads and potatoes in the summer.
They start blooming in the spring. Delicate little purple blooms to brighten my day. Spring is definitely here. Although the weather has cooled off after the rain. Nothing wrong with that.
Snapped this chive bud and will share more as the bloom. Do you like chives in your salads and potatoes?

I used to eat chives and sour cream on my baked potato.

I don't recall having chives. Maybe a buried seasoning.
