Have you ever witnessed an adult throwing a tantrum?

I've seen random people here and there yelling or getting angry about something but I don't believe I've ever seen an adult losing their mind because they weren't getting what they wanted or wasn't getting their way. I've seen many videos of people doing so though. Sometimes it's quite entertaining while other times, I can feel quite disgusted about their behaviour. And sometimes I do see their points while other times I feel they are making a mountain out of a molehill. But still, I've never witnessed anything like this up close and personal. What about you? Have you ever seen anyone losing their mind over something that could have been easily fixed? I'd love to read the stories.

Witnessed? No. I’ve been that adult. Back in the days before I got my blood sugar under control I’d go ape doo-doo over the slightest thing. I will say, though, I always threw my tantrums at home. For good reason: I’d still be locked up if I’d done some of those things in public!

@FourWalls Hey, that can easily be forgiven though lol I'm glad they did occur only at home though, I'm very curious what you did. Seriously, in your case, that's fine to me! You had a valid reason.

Even today, deny your daily Homer & Jethro fix and you are a three-year-old!

@FourWalls thanks for keeping it real. Sometimes adults lose it too. Forgive them.

My Dad used to get really angry if things weren't going well in the workshop or whatever although he was never violent towards people. But it used to really frighten me and I still have confrontation or argument.

@Writingghost When my Dad started using the 'F' word, it was time to get out of his way.

When my Dad was very angry he would say this exactly "Oh Dirty Word".

@marlina Yeah sometimes it can be quite scary at times too. @Writingghost yeah that can happen from time to time for sure! You're right about that.

Yes, even adults are humans and sometimes cross over that line.

@Starkinds No sometimes that behaviour can be difficult to deal with. @Writingghost That is correct. But I feel you might not be understanding me. Please don't think I'm attacking those who blow of steam or need to have a cry or complain because a lot of the times, there are good reasons when people are at their breaking point! I'm specifically talking about adults who literally create a scene like a child would. Screaming, kicking, abuse, saying silly things etc over something so small. I'm talking about the ones who just can't deal with little things not going their way. For example, my Aunty. She seems to have been spoiled. She complains not only to herself and whoever is with her but takes it to the next level of complaining to managers. Like when she goes to see a movie, she gets annoyed that children are present. The children could have laughed or talked loudly once ( no idea why she complains because she always talks throughout the whole damn movie ) and she will go complain to the manager demanding a refund. That's the kinda thing I'm talking about. Or another example, my ex boyfriend. He actually was spoiled as a child and even now. He once asked for a burger without tomato, his order was wrong yes because he got tomato. But how did he handle it? Didn't walk back up to the counter. No, he threw his food at the workers. It made me feel horrible for the workers because accidents happen but my brat of an ex boyfriend would do horrible things like this often, putting people down if his life was "disrupted." Not people who are at breaking point. Not people who are tired of being mistreated so they snap etc. There is a specific attitude I'm talking about here. I hope you understand where I am coming from.

@Butterfingers That's pretty much what I'm trying to say too. People who do make a habit of it. It gets hard especially if you know the person and get sucked into the situation. @Writingghost I agree. It can be very hard.

I've seen kids throwing a major fit - but not an adult (maybe only in videos like you said). I have seen childish adults though - not so much having a physical outburst but acting ridiculous at that moment. You just wanna slap 'em and tell them to grow up .

I used to be more emotional during setbacks but over time I realized the better option is to accept those we have no control of. I try to move on ASAP. When I was young I had seen some scenes where adults just lost it but I think people have become more composed with less of throwing tantrums in public nowadays - siva

@Shiva49 I'm glad you came to that realisation. I know that can't happen for a lot of people but when it does happen, I can only imagine how much easier life can be. Or at least, having acceptance of how life is.

@Fa_Maverick Yeah see that's the thing. Some times we really don't know the cause. Only time I have something to say about outbursts is if I understand the story from all angles. Otherwise, I don't want to judge because I don't know the reason.

@VivaLaDani13 it really wasn't if I wanted to disappear imagine what the girlfriend felt. With that said though there could have been an underlying cause of the tantrum... Perhaps the person was going through a really sh*tty time and just happened to have an outburst in public
