I got a nice compliment today

My mother's best friend (my second mom) stopped by earlier with some homemade banana bread. She was going to leave it on the door knob but I was outside on the landing with Charlie the cat. The cat likes to go out there and roll around on the concrete.
Anyway she saw me and was like "OMG you look AMAZING!" She just saw me almost a month ago so I don't know why she was so shocked. Maybe it was the tight yoga pants that I am wearing. I do have awesome legs.
She texted me like an hour ago to tell me the same thing. She said "hard work pays off". I responded and said it was half hard work and half heartbreak. She said "well you look awesome".
I'm having a really hard day today so I'll take it.

@NJChicaa I bet! I had a very nasty fall outside and went headfirst into the pavement. My nose was broken and both eyes turned black -- I found out later that is what happens when you break your nose! After that, I started using my cane full time.
