1970 - Paul McCartney announces that he is leaving the Beatles.
1932 - Omar Sharif was born. He was an Egyptian film and TV actor. Three of his big hits: Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Zhivago and Funny Girl. He has won 3 Golden Globes and 1 Cesar Award. He fluently spoke Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Italian. He passed away on July 10, 2015.

According to your tidbit on Omar Sharif, he passed away 17 years before he was born! That's a pretty incredible feat, if you ask me! LOL
