I have no idea what we'll be making but I'm sure it will be important. They only called some of the employees up for this so I really don't know what to expect when I get there.
We normally build kitchen cabinets with some other custom woodworking. That really isn't considered essentials. The government has made arrangements with some firms to produce medical supplies. I don't think we'll be making ventilators but you never know. I guess I'll find out on Monday.
Does anybody have any guesses as to what the product might be before it happens?

A plethora of frames for plastic sheeting barriers have appeared on a lot of places here. And Plexiglas shields.

I've seen a lot of checkout shields and guards. Won't know until Monday.

@koopharper In New Brunswick some commercial construction is considered essential so I'm doing the same old same old only a lot slower.

@koopharper Being able to work at all is a blessing at a time when so many have been furloughed! Stay safe.

@JudyEv Turns out some commercial construction jobs are considered essential and we get to supply them with kitchens. Our government is paying companies to keep staff on even if they really aren't necessary. Did a lot of standing around today.

@koopharper I knew you did wood products which is what brought it to mind.

As far as I know, it has to fall under the definition of essential work. Making kitchens for closed construction projects can't be it.

Part of me felt I was just getting into the groove of keeping myself busy with my own work but I'm happy to get the regular work.

@paigea I'll find a way. The main thing for me to work in my shop is the need for the warmer weather coming.
