I now have 137 unfeatured articles (hubs) on HubPages

On HubPages, they can unfeature an article (hub) because it gets low search traffic. I had 18 unfeatured hubs. Logged in today and now I have 137 unfeatured hubs. Wonder why so many all of a sudden. If I understand it correctly, if a hub is unfeatured that means it can't be found in search results. And that is not good. I wonder why they unfeature hubs. Maybe if I edit the hubs they will become featured again, though it is not a guarantee. But having to edit 137 of them, and not knowing what info to add (or take out) is not something I want to tackle. Of course, I don't have to do it in one sitting but I am not even sure if I can pull it off.

Hi there! Fellow Hubber here. Try sharing your old articles in bookmarking sites. The effect is not immediate, but traffic will start to go up.

@hereandthere actually you need to sign up for those, and that's it. It's actually a site where you could share your articles without being marked as spam. Your SEO will improve once you shared your articles in them.

I think you were speaking in a foreign language in your post. I don't understand any of it. LOL

@lovebuglena So people who want to read your articles need to go to HubPages to find them, or can they find your articles in another way? Like if I wanted to read one of your articles, where would I go to find them?

I think I was invited to that site before but I did not join because of the complexity of the rules.

@tallawah thank you for sharing the story. That is like an insult when your article is removed or not graded.

@tallawah my forte is writing articles but I lost interest.

@Alexandoy That is hard indeed. Unless you get lucky. And I am speaking from my own experience. Those writers that are great at search engine optimization get tons of views on what they publish. I am not great at that. I did get lucky with a hub about ms word keyboard shortcuts. That one has hundreds of thousands of views. Over 609,000.

Wow! That's a lot of Hubs. I didn't know that they could unfeature them. You could edit them over a period of time; and maybe they will regain their status.

Someone said on HubPages forums that you don't need to do a lot of editing. As long as you edit it, it will go back to being featured but that doesn't mean that the article won't remain getting low search traffic, which is what got in unfeatured in the first place.

@LindaOHio When we write a discussion here we list tags (keywords). That is not done at HubPages. You just write the content and publish. Of course if you are an SEO expert that is a tremendous help to get lots of search traffic.

@lovebuglena Maybe take a look at your tag words. I don't know what to suggest.

Maybe you should share it more on social media.

I do that from time to time. I don't think that will change anything.

HubPages is probably trying to get out making payouts and doing this to kill articles.

You have too many unfeatured articles. Maybe they don't want to pay you.
