Really Frustrated and Ready to Say So!

Even a Redneck Gets it! At least I am a redneck with education and still, I feel that someone has to say something so that five years from now, 10 years from now and fifty years from now, people understand that some of us were concerned. This is pertinent information to this conversation. Full Name Nancy Pelosi Net Worth $140 Million Salary $193,000 Date Of Birth March 26, 1940 Place Of Birth Baltimore, Maryland, United States Now I have read and done much research on what Nancy Pelosi says and what she does. She has a credibility issue. She stated that Washington D.C., Dec 5, 2019 / 01:00 pm (CNA).- Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Thursday rejected the suggestion that she “hates” President Donald Trump, and said that her Catholic faith prevents her from hating anyone. "I don't hate anybody. I was raised in a Catholic house, we don't hate anybody—not anybody in the world,” said Pelosi. She had been asked by a journalist during her weekly press briefing if she “hates President Trump.” Pelosi had earlier announced the House Democrats would begin drafting the articles of impeachment. "As a Catholic I resent you using the word 'hate' in a sentence that addresses me," a visibly angered Pelosi said, pointed her finger at the journalist. She went on to claim that she prays for Trump “all the time.” “So don't mess with me when it comes to words like that," she added. The Speaker said that any disagreement with Trump was rooted in policy, not in who he was as a person. Pelosi has in the past encouraged people to pray for President Trump. In October, Pelosi said that people should pray for the president’s health after she abruptly left a meeting with the President. In September, Pelosi said that she prays for the Trump family “all the time,” and that she “wish(es) that he would pray for the safety of other families and do something courageous on guns.” Well Nancy, I will courageiously hang on to my guns to feed my family, protect my livestock and demostrate that I understand my rights. Now I look at the stimulus bill and it has advertisements that I can watch some of the local Lincoln Center performances free. Really? I pay for my internet and computer. My taxes are paying for the Lincoln Center and when I get all signed in it is not free, it’s $6.00. Actions speak louder and are much more truthful than words. Am I really going to place my trust in a government where one of the biggest power players could care less about me and my family? I refuse to send her a check to get an answer.

You are spot on in this post. I wish more people saw not only the antics of Pelosi, but of the democrats in general. I really am not sure WHAT their beef is with the president. She says she disagrees with his POLICY. His policies have worked in ways democrats have said they have been trying to make their own policy work for years. Democrats said they want WORKING Americans to make more money. Trump's policies increased median income by $5000 a year. Democrats said that we needed to take care of our hard working blue collar workers. Trump's policies brought back hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs that pay family supporting wages. Democrats said that people making minimum wage cannot live on that wage, and we needed to RAISE the minimum wage so that they could have better lives. Trump's policies created high demand for workers in many of these minimum wage fields that now are paid in the $12-$15 range. On top of everything else, when Obama, during his FAILED economic policy period (which was his entire time in office) handed out $600 stimulus checks, Pelosi PRAISED Obama saying this was "really going to help hard working families," But when Trump's policies lowered taxes historically and companies paid thousands of dollars to workers in bonuses, these were crumbs. And when Trump announced he would give Americans $1200, Pelosi said this was not near enough. And yes. When the stimulus bill was rolling around through the halls of Congress, the democrats were trying to HOLD UP that bill by putting in support for things like PBS and NPR, and things like (yes) the Lincoln Center, all the while fighting AGAINST support for small businesses and large businesses alike for fear that the "rich" might be benefiting, even though we all know that nobody will have a job if businesses go bankrupt. VERY good post here, sir. Or ma'am. Actually I think you are a ma'am.

@hardtimes1958 All talk and no action is actually a good way to think about it. All we have to do is look at nearly EVERY SINGLE poverty stricken place in the nation, and lets look at who the mayor is. 9 times out of 10 its a city run by democrats, and has been run by democrats for YEARS AND YEARS and they are still poor. They are still run down. Harlem...under democrats for years. Chicago, run by democrats for years. Detroit, run by democrats for years. Washington D.C., under democrats for years, and the list goes on. Wherever there is high crime and heavy poverty, it is almost always in places run by democrats. Yet people time and time again keep reelecting the same people and the same KINDS of people and thusly, keep on begging for the EXACT SAME failed policies over and over and over again.

Maybe, some of those young politicians have already been in trouble for using campaign money for illegal things, so they paid and fine and everyone said they wouldn't talk about it any more. I would like someone young, educated and honest.

I don't normally get into political discussions because I manage to put my foot into my mouth up to my fanny (and no I don't practice yoga so it takes a huge medical team and a lot of anesthesia to get my foot, leg and fanny back in their normal positions!!!) but I couldn't resist. First, you can be a Catholic and not hate a person but you can not really like them. It doesn't go against your teachings. I know I'll draw fire for that comment, but I've known a lot of Catholics and a lot of them have expressed their dislikes, even for broccoli ! I'm not for a President that can't "Measure his words" about people that work in his office. Also that can't measure his words about other world leaders. He pays people to spout the bilge about the Trumpy Bear and how the "Bear" has made America great again. What a load of....sh....well garbage. If you look, the Trumpy Bear was made in China!!!!! Hey Trump if your making America great again how come your stupid bear is being made in China? Oops, I'll draw fire for that one. I'm getting my email box filled with emails from our "President", I didn't vote for him and he's asking me to vote for him and support him. I couldn't figure it out until someone mentioned that if you have a facebook account that that's how he is getting all his propaganda out. Oops, more fire! As for the stimulus check, I'm not holding my breath until I have it in my hand. I asked the question before and I'll ask it again...where is the money coming for the checks? I know that they're printed on paper, but where is the funds to back up the paper? Or are we to take them to the bank and be told that there are "Non Sufficient Funds"? I know full well that Trump isn't going to dig into his bank accounts and come up with the cash! Oops, more fire...I should just cut and paste that comment! Like you said, @Writingghost, why should I put my trust in a government where one of the biggest power players could care less about me and my family? (Oh, and I am a semi educated back woods gal. I took college courses that caught my interest rather than be forced into the mold that they came up with that all students should conform to. I live in the back woods of California and love every minute of it!)

@Writingghost I too respect the office, I just wish that the "man" would be more honest in what he has to say. I know that the job of President isn't an easy one, but if you walk into the job being honest to start with and keep that in mind with all your dealings you have a leg up on the job.
