Carly Simon was born on June 25, 1945 and is an American singer, songwriter, musician and children's book author. In the 1970s she had 13 Top 40 US hits. "You're So Vain" garnered her 3 Grammy nominations.
Although not included in this "Greatest Hits Live" CD, her 1988 hit "Let the River Run" was from the movie "Working Girl". She became the first artist to win a Grammy Award, Academy Award, and a Golden Globe for a song composed, written and performed by the same artist.
Simon was formerly married to James Taylor.

I remember when You're So Vain was such a big hit and the revelation it was about Warren Beatty.

I love Carly Simon, I love most of the songs on that list but my favorite is " that's the way I always heard it should be"
