April 14, 2020 2:00am CST
Hello everyone, how are you all doing? I am back to share my food/health post for the day. Weigh In? Starting: 189.4 Lowest: 177.2 Monday: 179 So I am down 10.4 pounds since January 1st. I am up from my lowest which occurred on the 11th. Blood sugars? Fasting - 197 (yuck) Meal 1 -- Meal 2 - 155 Snack - 122 So - what did I eat? I had my first meal around 3 P.M. I had 3 hard boiled eggs that I made into deviled eggs I had a bowl of tuna with mayo & no sugar added ketchup And also 1 slice of cheese Then....I did a work out. I wrote about this already - but it ended up being an hour and 45 minutes of dancing and Tae-Bo. I drank a Zipfizz with the work out. For dinner I had a low carb tortilla shell with taco meat, cheese, and sour cream. Then later for a snack I had some sugar free chocolate chips. Macros for the day were (approx): Calories - 1,230 Protein - 76 Fat - 90 Net Carbs - 20 Total - 35 Calories burned in my workout - 1,033 I think I had over 11,000 steps but not sure the exact number. I may post a weekly update sharing the steps for the week though....or is that a dumb idea? How did you all do with food/exercise? Photo is from Pixabay

I don't think it's a bad idea to post your steps. You did well with your workout. Good job on your weight loss. I did well yesterday too.

@MommyOfEli2013 That's great you could be under with a cheat weekend. It's the exercise.

@just4him I am sure it is the exercise, got me out of the stall I was in with the same 5 pounds. I'll be interested to see what I lose this week.

Just not sure whether to do it once a week, or once a month, etc. Maybe once a week and then I will try to do better the next week. Thank you...I just hope I didn't over do it. Today I have done one of my two work outs. Thank you...it was nice to have a cheat weekend and still be under 180! Glad to hear that you did well too :)

With the workout, I'm surprised your numbers were over 100...

@MommyOfEli2013 I thought exercise made the numbers lower. I had a boss that used to eat lunch and then go play squash so he wouldn't have to inject insulin. Must be different for some people? I don't know.

@LindaOHio It might be the kind of work out, also how long you work out, and how high your numbers are to begin with. I know they say to not work out if your blood sugars are over 200.

Exercise does make the numbers higher...I think especially because I did so much at once. Today I am doing more time, but splitting it up.

I am walking a couple of miles most mornings. We have a dog and it is important for all of us to go for a walk--otherwise, I am doing ok--just sitting too much right now in general--hang in there--and keep plugging away!

That is good that you walk a couple of miles in the mornings....and that is good to do it together. Understand, not a whole lot else we can do right now, huh!

You are doing great with everything. I wish I could do keto but it makes me sick. I have to do low carb.

Sorry to hear that Keto makes you sick....but doing low carb is still really good! I do more of a carnivore; except still allow a few things that aren't just meat occasionally.

I am trying....although I was frustrated when the weight went up this morning. As long as I am less on Friday then I'll be happy.

Since I am really short (4'10) - I would like to get down to a range between 95 and 100 pounds. So, still a very long way to go.

Schedule....not starting till 3? That's not every day....I usually don't eat my first meal till noon or later though. Yes, eggs are great for health and weight loss. And that sounds like a good plan. I am always here for support!
