Helped a Friend Across the Miles

Have been on the phone most of the morning. An old friend from hundreds of miles away called. It was so nice to hear from her. She was my son's Godmother. Very special lady. She has never been crazy about computers or cell phones. But she is having to learn now. Her doctor's appointments will all be on the phone for now. She called me to talk and see how I was doing, and to ask if I could help her get setup for her phone call from her doctor. Of course I did. She called from her husband's cell phone and we face timed. That was new for her. And I walked her through the steps of installing the app her doctor sent, and other steps to get ready for the call. It took awhile and she was very thankful for my help. I felt like I have been teaching a class all morning. I have sort of I guess. It was great to hear from her and to be able to help. I told her that is what friends are for. Sharing a photo of my hero Eeyore hanging out with his friends. Helping others helps me. Things are good in my world for now. Good for you for helping her! Things are stressful enough already right now, without having to worry about learning new technology to complete simple tasks that we used to take for granted. Hopefully she feels more at ease now.
