I have to the New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio for showing concern to the families who are risking their lives to save persons who have been affected by the Coronavirus that has hit the city pretty hard.
The opening of the Regional Enrichment Center will be able to allow students who cannot attend school to learn their basic school work plus learn the skills of taking care of themselves plus eat three squares a day by staying at a safe distance.
While the parents who work in jobs from healthcare to grocery are at work, their children can at least get an education during the day. Now that is nice to know.

@Deepizzaguy In the city I live there is no possibility of doing the same things for every child. Children from lower classes don“t have a computer much less a printer to send the work back. Besides, their parents cannot help them because they know little. On the other hand, in many houses if the quarantine is too long, there will be violence and abuse.

@marguicha I see the problems that your city would be facing trying this.

I agree with you since the children will be given instructions on how to deal with the virus to take care of themselves.

That sounds like time well worth spent for the kids and less worry for the parents

That's a great idea; but it's putting kids in a room with others who could be infected.

That is the risky part of this idea from Mayor De Blasio.

That's very nice of them helping those who help and sacrifice the most for the community.
