another day

Lately, I have a hard time figuring out what to post on here. It feels like there's nothing really new or interesting to relate.
I woke up around 8. I checked some emails. My youngest woke up around 8:30, and we went to the kitchen where his older siblings were already gathering. They had a breakfast of cinnamon Chex and apples and grapes and milk, I had a mug of coffee.
I caught up on Facebook notifications. I caught up on MyLot notifications. I sat with my son during his preschool circle time on Zoom while another adult went to pick up the school lunches.
And that's my day so far. Technically the kids are on spring break, but it doesn't feel like a break for anyone. The only real difference is the oldest teen's online classes are suspended for a week.
We're finding few things to talk about in the evenings around the dinner table because we're all experiencing the same things. I'm trying to stay positive, especially for the morale of the kids, but today is hard for me.

We had our Spring Break last week
- like you said, the only break was the no lesson part. How old are your kids now? I have a 15 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. I know - it's not always easy especially as the days go by . .. hang in there!

@much2say Yeah, and the house is a bit too small for all of them. I feel like I need to shop for a trampoline.

I know what staying home feels like, I do it all the time but I don't have kids to entertain or teach so it's easier for me.
Perhaps if you were to engage in some board games all of you could play, I remember as a child my folks would play games with us and we had fun.

We've attempted that. It hasn't always been successful. Still, we may try again.

It`s really hard staying at home. I hope you can find a way to enjoy. like playing board games, watching tv or play computer games. We are hoping that things will be ok soon.

I'm so tired of just watching TV. I feel like we have all this free time but nothing to do with that time except chores, mediating arguments between kids, and trying to make them do their chores. Heck, I even have a hard time getting adults to do what they need to do too.

That's what I keep reminding myself.
I think I've been stuck inside too long. I do try to at least sit outside in the sunshine for a while each day, but I really want to take walks. I'm not sure what the current information is regarding walks right now... I've heard both that we should get exercise outside and that we should stay home and not take walks in the neighborhood. I guess if I walk while wearing a mask, no one will scold me.

@spiderdust I'm sure that would be all right. Here, we can take walks.

We went to work for a couple hours, picked up my prescription from the pharmacy and loaded up the four wheeler and were off to the park.

@spiderdust the four wheeler park is technically private property so they really can't say anything

We've got plenty of indoor activities, but they need some exercise and ways to burn off energy.

I feel like I need to find a random writing prompt from somewhere to find something to write about.

What are you running out of, Fredo? We can chat about that!
I burst into tears earlier when I realized the 2 remaining bagels had started to mold. No bagels left for us, but we still have bread. We seem to run out of cheese often.

That's ok! it's still a topic. Sometimes when I feel like I haven't much to say, I write a review of a movie, food, book, etc

I just had to break up a stick fight in the back yard, but that's not necessarily the kind of thing I want to write a post about.
