I like the idea of the cooperation of the Davenport Library who have recruited Davenport police officer and Davenport firefighters to use their free time ro read children's books on the internet to keep the minds of students who are not in school at this time due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The program is one way for children as well adults to keep up their reading skills. Credit goes to Davenport Lt. Fire Marshall Zach Soliz since the police and firefighters cannot read to the students in school at this time. The volunteers who are reading books on Facebook Live have found their lives happier giving back to their community even during this crisis of being locked down in our homes.

That's a really cool idea. It's almost as good as going to a library for story hour.

I agree with you since reading time on the internet by the firefighters and police officers builds up a strong bond in the community.

Keep them away from committing crime on the street because of boredom.

This is such a wonderful idea. Now I want to check to see if the library here is doing something like this.

What a great idea. The virus is forcing people to come up with some great ideas.
