Saturday Brunch Waffles and Peaches

Enjoyed coffee in the screen room earlier with the cats. The birds are nesting all over the yard. A happy time to watch nature. Had a busy morning getting laundry done. And other projects this morning. Had a late breakfast or brunch. Decided on waffles, butter, syrup, pecans and peaches. Kind of healthy perhaps. The peaches were a nice touch. Anything new going on today? A cool day here. I will check on the birds later.

You sure like waffles!!! lol. Nothing really new..but I discovered Nico definitely knows the word toy. I told him to play with his new toy..and he went right over and picked it up.

@CarolDM Yes, this is the first non food related thing he seems to know other than his name...I think honestly, he pretends he doesn't understand sit and lay down..lol.(I would, but I don't feel like it.)

They look quite delicious in the picture. We had tea twice in the morning, and had a combined breakfast plus lunch. Now not very sure about the dinner bit. Yesterday night's unexpected rains did keep the hot weather in check to certain extent.
