Don't Forget the Forget Me Nots

I can remember as a child that my father always planted forget-me-nots in our back garden in a sheltered position by the wall of our bungalow. They went across underneath my parents' bedroom window as well as those of the bathroom, pantry and kitchen. They made a wonderful show every spring. However, since being a homeowner myself I've never thought to plant them in my own garden and it wasn't until these little beauties came up in a long grassy area underneath our hazel and cherry trees that I suddenly remembered my garden at Oakfield. These have obviously seeded from somebody else's garden but it seems strange that they chose to sprout out at about the same time my mother passed away a couple of weeks ago. But whatever the reason for them deciding to grow there this year, I just hope they decide they like being there and self seed to give me another beautiful blue display next year.
