Ordered Face Shield Online

The idea of having a face shield struck me; not due to the virus, but to avoid oil splatter when frying meat or fish. Since I could not go out to buy acetate film or clear PVC material to make one, I thought of ordering one online, and it's good it is cheap. I can use it too when going to the grocery if ever the lockdown was lifted. It is only my husband who can go out right now, once or twice a week, because he is the lone quarantine pass holder in our household. I hope this pandemic will end soon!

You can use a recycled plastic bottle to make a face shield. Check this video.

@LadyDuck we have one, a big one which I can DIY, but it's not "presentable" wearing it in the grocery when this lockdown is lifted.I can use it at home while cooking.

I can'tgt hold of such material for DIY right now; I don't have a quarantine pass to go out.

We were issued those at work and have a choice between wearing a face mask or wearing the shield. The mask is less comfortable but I think more effective. I honestly thought they wanted us to wear both at first. I stick with the mask because we also have a significant amount of dust in the shop.

@acelawrites I think it would be best to wear both.

If we go to crowded places, it is safe to wear both for protection.

That is a good idea. It is really good when frying food. I hate it when hot oil landed on my skin.
