Went Right Over His Head

We got issued these not so wonderful washable face masks at work. We're supposed to wash them out every evening. My wife who occasionally writes on myLot made me two other much nicer ones. They're more comfortable because she used a better pattern and less sinister-looking material.
One of my co-workers who is not considered the sharpest tool in the shop approached me close to the end of the day. We were both wearing our masks and I asked him if he was planning to go to the bank after work to make a withdrawal.
He replied with, "No I don't need any money. I just hope this whole thing is over soon."
His oblivious response was far funnier than my joke. We were in stitches over that one for a couple of days.
I hope everyone is holding up well here on myLot and staying safe.

@koopharper Glad he can "get 'er done." As comedian Stephen Wright said, "Half of the people you know are below average." I am glad they can find work as well.

@TheHorse Loved Stephen Wright. I don't think this was his joke but someone said, "One in three people are ugly. If it isn't the person on your right or the person on your left, it's you."

I was expecting him to get that one but I was wrong. He's not well-liked but I don't do things to make people look stupid for the fun of it like that besides he's never done anything to bug me.

I haven't heard any nicknames for him believe it or not.

Not all construction job sites have been shut down here. Turns out we're making the same kitchens the way we were before. Hopefully, the outlook here in New Brunswick stays positive because that could all change again in a hurry.
