Someone please explain to me why I'm looking at vintage pyrex and corningware dishes like I have space in the cabinet for them. We have a few pieces that were gotten organically, but I'd really like to get another small casserole dish, and perhaps some blue flower cups that I've seen that we don't have any of.
Our cabinet is a hodge podge of different plates from different places. We have full sets of things, and then we have half sets of things to.
Someone please tell me that I don't need anymore, atleast not until I get rid of / replace some of the stuff we don't need.
How's everyone's day so far?

We have like three or four sets of everything. Even our silverware. We got rid of one whole wood handled set of silverware a few years ago, but I wish we had gotten rid of the green handles set instead.
I need to go through and organize about two full cabinets!2 people like this

Oh my
Are the glasses from different collections? I mean, do they all have value or are some just ones he thought looked nice and bought?

@ScribbledAdNauseum they just catch his eye at the thrift shop or $1.25 store.
Some are so tacky they are cute. I am sure none have value.

You don't need anything else and, like me, you need to get rid of at least 1/3 of what you have. My day is OK.

I have silverware up the wazoo! I really, really do.
We got rid of one set (though I would have kept that set had it been my decision), and we still have several sets. Inherited mostly.

@LindaOHio I am going to work on that in a little bit. I haven't gone through the silverware in years.
What I have done today is
1) Rearrange the cabinet with coffee cups, bowls, plates and casserole dishes
2) Started on the cabinet with cups and mason jars

I'm still looking.
Oh and working in the kitchen. I have way too much silverware. Cleaned out the drawer and washed all the silverware again just a bit ago. This time I only put around 8 of each in the drawer.

Yeah, my next discussion (Already written) pretty much outlines what I have. I found a casserole dish and it's lid. Did not even realize that I had it.

A few moments ago I went through one cabinet and rearranged things. There was a casserole dish hidden in a stack of cooking bowls. it was the exact dish that I had planned on purchasing from ebay.

@LadyDuck This is my grandparents house. My grandfather, uncle and I live together as it suits all of our needs. I cook and clean (what I can - but that's another story), and I also help my uncle by waking him up for his medicine. I provide financial assistance to the household when I can. The men benefit by getting home cooked meals and a relatively clean (again - that's another story) place to live.

I can be that way A LOT. I do try to get rid of some of the things, if not most of the things, I end up buying like that.

I don’t blame you at all. I get that way sometimes when it comes to video games lol.

See, I'm not even playing The Sims 4 anymore, and I was just thinking about that today. I might have to make time for it.

@Ladanger I don't do COD, though I like watching other people play it. I was more of a GOW type girl myself, but I don't even play those type of games anymore.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have been playing a lot of call of duty lately and now there are some new games I that I want. I try to at least pass the entire game.
I would just buy more. Same with Netflix starting shows and now finishing them lol.

It's just the prospect of going through the cabinets... I feel lazy to do it!
