This morning I was told that we had too many bananas.
'Well, that's not my fault' I thought, but did not say.
I was thinking of what I could use that we already had to make a dessert of sorts. We have some brownies that I intend to make. I will also make a sort of banana, peanut butter chocolate type of icing to put onto the brownies.
That should be good, right?

I suppose I could, it's not something I've thought of.

@Butterfingers Thank You. I have two full bunches that need to be used up. I'll cut some up for cereal a little later.

OMG that sounds delicious! Go ahead and make it and tell us how it turned out
You're so lucky - we couldn't find bananas anywhere when we went to top up our supplies :(

@ScribbledAdNauseum You're so lucky. I'm jealous because I'm craving this peanut butter, orange juice, banana and frozen yoghurt smoothie I always make and can't because we have no bananas :( On a lighter note, how did your dessert turn out, did you make it yet?

@Lushlala Yes, it was good.
That frozen yogurt smoothie sounds so delicious. I'm sorry you don't have any bananas.

I'm sorry! We still seem to have bananas in abundance at stores here, but lots of other things stay empty on the store shelves.

That sounds good, also that banana ice cream is good, and of course banana bread.

I thought about banana bread, but vetoed it. I could make a banana ice cream, I hadn't even thought.. Hmm, thank you. I'll look up recipes.

@Aquitaine24 It's such a yummy combination. I used to make a fudge with peanut butter, banana, and dark chocolate. Just a splash or two of vanilla extract and it was delicious.

I already have a diabetic in the house that "is only pre-diabetic" , and it will be him and I that eat this. I have to try to keep this as diabetic friendly as possible.

@Marilynda1225 Yep. I could throttle the man though because he doesn't think he's diabetic.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I see especially since bananas have a lot of sugar even if it's natural

I'm also planning to make some chocolate cake for my son

I hope he enjoys it. I find that chocolate cake is too rich for my taste.

@amitkokiladitya Oh I see. I do not think I have met a child that didn't like chocolate cake. I used to like it when I was young, but it's too rich for my tastes now.

I hope it is. It will be my first time attempting something like it. We have a few chocolate fruit dip cups and I think I'll use two of those, mix a pureed banana in, some vanilla extract (homemade) and then slather it onto the brownies, or else put it in a cup to dip the brownies in.

Have more ideas just from other 'lotters. I've frozen some bananas for ice cream later on. Might do the same with strawberries actaully..

I would have mashed the bananas into the brownies but that's just me.

I couldn't do that because I didn't make the brownies from scratch. They were pilsbury premade. I would have as well, though.

Thought about that too, but I'm trying to keep things as diabetic friendly as possible, as well as use up what we already have.
