Written by Gospel and Southern Gospel Halls of Famer Mosie Lister, this was first recorded by the Statesmen Quartet (Lister was a founding member). While the renditions have been primarily in southern gospel, thanks to Gibson’s recording it also became a country gospel staple throughout the 60s. What a beautiful, uplifting prayer. Thanks for reading. Thanks for that. I used to listen to similar hits from radio ages ago during uni years. Haven't heard that hit for a while now.
