My first senior moment of the morning. How is your day going?

So I'm walking into my kitchen to turn on the water for my second cup of coffee when it occurs to me that I have Reece's Cup in the fridge. I go the fridge and get distracted by most leftover sushi from last night, so I eat a couple of pieces of that instead of the Reece's Cup. Then I leave the kitchen without turning on the coffee water.
Upon returning to the kitchen, I am distracted by the fact that I'm writing this post in my head and checking the dishes in the sink. I ALMOST leave the kitchen a second time without turning on the water.
How is your day going? Any moments of spaciness yet? As my girlfriend used to say, "Are you senile or just stupid?" I think I'm a little bit of both.

Skip and I are guilty of doing such, also. We get distracted ... especially me ... I'm trying to do several things at once always. I think it's wanting to do several things at once.2 people like this

@TheHorse Book -- that thing that translates printed words into pictures in your head.

@wolfgirl569 But did I tell you about the hard boiled egg incident. Just kidding? I survived that too.

@andriaperry How much "shelter in place" can a human stand before they finally lose it? I feel like a subject in an experiment.

It is normal to review and prioritize your needs. It could be that turning on the water was not an immediate need. Generally speaking, you are enjoying your life.

Sometimes there is only enough room for one or two thoughts at a time! :-)

Heh heh. Black people with dark hair are not exempt from "blonde moments." And they've been happening to me since I was...maybe 15. Carry on but don't burn up your pots and pans like I sometimes do (I'll call that a salt and pepper moment).
