Books I am reading now

Now that the libraries are temporarily closed—and who knows when they will reopen—and I can't take out books to read, I am not sure that I will be able to reach my reading goal of 55 books by the end of the year. I could probably try borrowing e-books but I don't read those. Tried once and was not a fan at all. I am forever a lover of actual physical books. I finally finished reading a book I bought called Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare, which is from a brand new Shadowhunter series The Last Hours. Took me a month to read this book. But that was because it was over 500 pages long and I didn't necessarily read every day. I bought two books by Ellen Hopkins—Love Lies Beneath and its sequel A Sin Such As This and am waiting for them to be delivered. For some strange reason they did not ship together. And one of the books shipped days later than the the other one. While I am waiting for these books to arrive I found four books in the garage that belong to hubby that I can read. ~ Five Great Short Stories by Jack London ~ The Gold-Bug and Other Tales by Edgar Allan Poe ~ Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions by Edwin A. Abbott ~ For the Good of the Cause by Alexander Solzhenitsyn (translated by David Floyd and Max Hayward) I had no idea he had these books. This gives me some reading material, which will help me get closer to my reading goal for 2020. Since they are small it will not take a long time to read. I already finished one book and am almost done with the second one. After I finish all these books I will have read 27 books so far... Not sure what I will read after that, while the libraries remain closed. Maybe I will get some books at Dollar Tree. As each book is only $1 I can get many books without spending a fortune.

I do read ebooks, but I find physical ones easier, and more enjoyable, to read.

@nomus24g Science fiction and fantasy out of preference, but I often pick up thrillers and the like because they're cheap.

Maybe the libraries will be open in about a month or so...NY I'm not so sure.

That would be nice but I doubt it. They are gonna reopen essential places first. Not sure libraries will be considered essential. Cuomo did say that hair salons are not essential, though people will disagree.

I was thinking about seeing if Dollar Tree has anything good for a buck.
