#20Resolutions for 2020 - Resolution Number Seventeen

Yes, there is a chair under all of that.

I bought a fairly nice assemble-it-yourself leather office chair from a store whose name rhymes with Schnoffus Schneepo, and I skipped the "have us assemble it for you" because that cost extra, and I am an old hand at putting stuff together. And I am cheap; let's keep it real. And yet. Not only was it a major pain in the butt to put together, it's not really made very well (I'm going to blame the chair and not my assembly skills), and a bolt or two worked loose through normal use, causing the chair's back to come loose on one side. I couldn't find the missing bolt, so I folded the chair in order to keep from straining the side that was still attached. There it sat, becoming a kind of low table of sorts, catching various items while I had to use my much less comfortable cloth task chair, a hand-me-down from office renovations at my company. Just a couple of weeks ago, I finally found the missing bolt (I hope there's only one missing; haven't checked), so now I can clear the random things off the chair, put it back together, and use it...at least until it falls apart again.

Hopefully this one will be fairly easy; and you can put it on your completed list.

If it's only one bolt, it shouldn't be too bad. Having to hold things in place while I am screwing the bolts in has been hard, and they don't seem designed to go in very straight.

.....let's hope it can stay around for generations once all it's parts are attached (correctly)....

It's good you've found the bolt. I hope to see a post soon where you've actually followed through on a resolution.
