I just jarred the bejeezus out of my arm

The hall seems to be my arch nemesis. I tend to get injured while in it the most. If it's not the doorknob to the linen closet it's : The corner that goes towards the foyer The molding around the master bedroom door Or.. well, no that's about it. Today it was the corner going towards the foyer. I had my arm out (the hall gets narrower at this point) and BAM! I had to sit in front of the fan and open and close my hand a few times while stretching it out to get it to stop hurting. It still throbs a bit, but not as bad. Are you as clumsy as I?

Ouch! The nemesis of this house is the dining room chair nearest the kitchen . . . everyone bangs their toe/foot into the leg . . . and there's no where to move this chair any way else. I hate to say it, but as I age too, I'm noticing these little bangs are more painful .

@ScribbledAdNauseum I hate those elbow ones . . . I don't even know how I manage to do that . . . is it a spatial thing - that we can't judge distance or something anymore? Hubby bangs his toe the most on that chair . . . I feel bad for him .

@much2say It must be a spatial thing. Though it's funny you should mention the word spatial. Whenever I do hit my elbow I feel like my whole body vibrates if that makes sense. Like, I have to sit in front of a fan because I start feeling hot, my head will ache right around my nose.

My arm still hurts around the elbow but the pain is abating. We had a chair that I'd do that on as well, back when we used to use it for a dining chair. Ouch did that hurt!

Sorry you hurt yourself. I get bruises and don't know what they're from. BAM! I run into something; and then I forget about it.

I've been clumsy my whole life. That isn't the first time I've injured myself because of that wall.

Right now I seem to be doing okay. In 2019 I took a hard fall once a month for five or six months. My sister scrapes and bumps her arm like you are. Also the light switches got to her.

I wonder about how I'll be as I get older. You were having trouble with your equilibrium at that point, weren't you?

We (my daughter and I) used to bruise easily when we were at our last house some decades ago. Guess back then, the house had too many furniture with boxes stacked everywhere.

That's the way it is here. There's too much stuff just lying around.

I do that in certain parts of the house. Have bruises and I forget what I ran into!

Oh, I do that too! I just have a little skint spot at the moment, but it wouldn't surprise me if I didn't end up with a bruise.
