That 4 o'clock habit.

For some years now, my usual 4 o'clock habit would be to sweep the floors and clean the house. This is a habit suggested by our government to avoid the proliferation of mosquitoes as dengue is very common in our country. When I'm feeling a little like a mad housekeeper, I would even go to the garden and snip some citronella leaves. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, my 4 o'clock habit has changed. I now turn on the television promptly to get updates from the Department of Health and then tune in to international news channels for a roundup of what's happening in other countries. And since the weather has become really, really hot ... I now clean and do gardening at around 5 pm, when the sun won't be so overbearing. Do you have any afternoon habits? * Image by Ron Porter from Pixabay

Our afternoon habits are also waiting for some updates about our situation here in our country and other countries too. When 6 PM arrives, while still watching the news, we are also starting to prepare for dinner and it became the routine of us since this quarantine started.

It's always good to have some routine. I feel that we need it now more than ever.

Its just a radio or the computer at my house. Since the pandemic, we've been making sure to keep the radio off after an hour of news in the morning. My husband is mostly working from home now. We work at being civil to each other and keeping the depressing news off helps us with our moods.

Makes sense. It's enough that we get just the urgent and important facts from news. No need for info overload.

That's reasonable especially if you started the day early.
