The new normal.

I refuse to accept the new normal. I don't like it at all. I don't like wearing mask and rain gear when I go out to buy food and medicine. But the coronavirus is real. And it's there when you least think it is. So, the extra care - taking the precautions to heart. Thus far, I was all right - till I ran out of liquefied petroleum gas for cooking. So, I ordered a tank and learned that the new protocol does not allow the delivery boy to go inside the house. A dilemma for me. I couldn't carry the tank. Thus I made a special request, and it was granted. So, I put the mask and the rain gear on, in my own home. I prepared a brown bag where the change will be deposited. Prepared the Lysol spray and the liquid floor disinfectant. The delivery boy installed the cooking gas quickly and left, and I sprayed the kitchen excessively and mopped the floor with a generous amount of zonrox. The new normal? I hope not.

Yes, the "new normal" is not appealing but it will take a miracle for things to go back to the "old normal."

An AI pronouncement from Singapore tells ours end in July the sixth exactly. That was based from the number of cases tallied. And of course we didn't have massive testing.

@kanuck1 It seems the West will have a longer dealing with this pandemic. I pray not.

@averygirl72 Japan didn't impose a lockdown. The virus did spread.

Like it or not that is indeed what we have to do for this time so that the spread of the virus slows down and slowly disappears.

@eileenleyva I understand and don't know when we can return to life before this pandemic.

That is true. Sigh. I think it is more difficult for oldies like me.

It is just taking so much effort to keep one protected from the virus! Very saddening but it is the best thing to do.

Prettifying is not my thing. I wear simple clothes each day because I don't like the activity of wearing this and that. Imagine then that I have to put on a mask, properly, and rain pants, rain coat, gloves, hood. Sigh, this tamad is challenged.

Yes, I agree. Wearing the mask is uncomfortable. It's mandatory in our state. I wonder just how effective wearing one really is in preventing infection? Anyway, looks like your doing the right things with Lysol cleaning and using disinfectant. I have been doing the same.

Actually, the mask is not just to protect one's self. It is more to protect others. If we talk, or cough, or sneeze, and we are carriers, others could be put in harm's way.
