@DocAndersen That's so cool! As I'm getting older, I'm enjoying nature so much more. When I was younger I took things like that for granted plus I was always in a rush with 2 kids.

@simone10 i grew up with a father that couldn't be inside. Funny, he was a teacher. The minute class was over he was outside!

the easy part of the pond for fishing went around our yard. so we saw them often!

Yep--I've seen a couple of them behind/around my house--there's a creek behind me. Very cool birds. Unfortunately none of my photos came out very good.
