Fun Sunday.....

It's 11:30 PM and I thought to post one discussion for the day. Many posts here today are around Mother's Day and I thought to contribute my share to it. It was actually a fun day.
I had my travel plans to be with my mom and all three generations ( I , mom and my daughters) could have celebrated the day together but then pandemic came with it's own plan.
I am not for a special day to express my love for my loved ones and I am never loud and public about my expressions. So as usual I was shy on social media.
And like always I called mom and chatted except that this day I wished her
.
Morning went as usual and it didn't surprise me as it would not be unusual if my husband and daughters forget about it. They are like me after all.
Last year they made a special breakfast for me.
As we had breakfast they exchanged looks, giggled and wished me. They said together that they wanted to gift me some peace of mind on this day.
My younger one is very well organized and her room is in order all the time. But elder one is like a typical teenager and looking at her scattered closet and room triggers my so called OCD for cleanliness.
It is hygienic clean but not organized though it's full of her artistic creations.
So together they cleaned the room and even cleaned the two bookshelves in balcony. And that really gave me peace of mind....best gift on this day
Later they did some baking for the occasion.
And finally we watched three movies back to back...
Little women, Fault in our Stars and Jumanji. I had not done that much of movie watching at a stretch in years. And it was fun......cuddling together and being a couch potato.
So I got my peace of mind and a chance to be couch potato on my mother's day.....
How has Sunday/ Mother's Day being for you??

It's a favorite of my elder daughter. She loved both the book and the movie. We have seen it a few times together and each time we have cried.

@arunima25
You will be able to be a couch potato once the girls are in college and out of the house!
Thanks. I saw.

I would never get a chance to be couch potato for another long time unless I turn deaf and blind to things around me
. Read your post. Glad you had a lovely day

@DianneN Yes. That still has few years. Not sure if I am waiting for that. Not yet ready for it emotionally but it has to happen eventually.

I am not sure. It is on Amazon Prime and features Ema Watson as the eldest sister Meg.

Yes I just read that discussion by Linda. And I posted the same thing. Unknowingly they did it to please their mom
