If there is one thing that impresses me about not for profit groups, it is that from time to time, they have to adjust from being in the business of having book exchanges in middle schools to giving away free lunches to residents in Linden New Jersey who are in need of a meal in these harsh times. A not for profit group called Little Free Library who specializes in book exchanges at Soehl Middle School in Linden is changing its game plan from promoting book exchanges to having teachers work at the school kitchen to make lunches for the people in their city to assist them get through some tough times due to the closing of businesses as a way to stop the Coronavirus from spreading throughout the area, Soehl Middle School principal Isabella Scocozza is encouraging parents to come to the school to assist the teachers to make meals for the students and their families so they can have a meal at home until this crisis is history.

Yes! I have heard about Little Free Library. I also remember working in the cafeteria when I was in elementary school. I would either take tickets, hand out food, sell extras, wash dishes, etc. In return, I would get a free lunch.

@yanzalong Since the cartoon super heroes are fictional characters even though the real life heroes may be fans of the fictional super heroes.

It is nice to learn that a book exchange club is now helping their community with free meals.

I know of a group who makes weighted blankets and gives them to special needs families who cant afford. What makes me said is that our country NEEDS so many of these. It's messed up (non profits)

It is nice to assist people in need who do not have meals to eat due to the pandemic.
