International Nurses Day - This is also Florence Nightingale's birthday. This should be celebrated every day! She was an Italian-English nurse, social reformer and statistician. More importantly, she is the founder of modern nursing. She established the first secular nursing school in the world at St. Thomas' Hospital in London. New nurses take the Nightingale Pledge. International Nurses Day is celebrated on her birthday. 1981 - Rami Malek was born. He is an American actor who is known for portraying Queen's lead singer, Freddie Mercury, in Bohemian Rhapsody for which he won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award for Best Actor.
