May 14th, 2020 8:49 AM Yesterday I washed a large comforter and a blanket yesteday, and I went through and threw away a few things as well. Otherwise I was online, writing, or watching that youtube channel that I am enamored with at the moment. Oh, and I cooked vegetable soup for dinner last night. It was delicious. Today The sound of waves are greeting my ears as I type this. I'm listening to a spotify playlist for nature sounds, and I have to say that it's rather relaxing. I could listen to just this one track for hours. I've already started another load of laundry, mostly towels. Not sure what I'll do today other than chisel a little away at the list I posted about yesterday. I shared the same list with friends and I will keep them updated as I go along... Today Continued I am contemplating, quite possibly, moving the desk. However, let me explain the process I would need to undertake do that. 1. Take everything off of my bed, including the extra blankets I have folded at the bottom. 2. Lean mattress up and against the closet door. 3. Do the same to the boxspring 4. Take everything off the desk, and every drawer out of the desk. 5. Scoot it out from where it is now and drag it to the position I want it in. 6. Place everything back on the desk, including the drawers in the desk. So.. I am thinking that instead, I'll just work on the smaller things. Eventually I do want to move that desk, but I think it will have to be the same day that I move the entertainment center. I may also change my mind as to where I want some things once that entertainment center is gone. How was your Non-Friday the 13th?

Moving furniture is a big ordeal and I've been contemplating the same thing in my bedroom. For now I'm going to just continue working on my closet and then see if I still want to rearrange all the furniture.

The closet is a project I need to tackle too, but it will have to be one of the last things as I just don't have the space at the moment to work on it.

I think I would have started out small too.

Yeah, I am. Yesterday I cleaned out one drawer, and part of another. I vacuumed as well. Today I'll clean out another drawer. I can't get to some of the drawers without moving my mattress a little, but I'll do that and start cleaning those drawers out too. There was already one drawer that I cleaned out for my stuff a long time ago. It's hard getting rid of his stuff still (I got rid of a lot of it several years ago), but I just try to remember that my brother was the type to get rid of things himself.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping some of his things.

@simone10 True, but I do have some of his things. The desk was his, the bookshelf was his. I don't need to keep every little thing. I kept his baby ornament, it's hanging on the necklace around his and my mom's urns.

It was great. I went to a park and zoo..and it was a lot of fun. The only problem was I briefly lost my car, as I wasn't sure which parking lot, I was in..and the signs were not marked well..but all is well that ends well. Got some pics but they are not great.

Oh, yay! Yeah, that's the trouble with big parking lots and / or over flow parking. I've heard some people say that they will take a picture of the lane number / letter so that they can recall just where it was they parked.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I should have paid more attention when I went in. I think the worst place is parking garages where they have mulitple garages on either side of a building..I hate those. I think I will try the pic trick.

@snowy22315 I hate parking garages like that too. A lot of times the decks need to have their letter / number repainted. It gets especially confusing with the elevators sometimes too.

Since you wrote this on Thursday, I'm assuming you meant how was my Thursday? I got out of the house for the first time since March 19 for my eye doctor appointment. Then we had Chinese for dinner. Now it's Friday; and there's nothing going on! Hope you get all of your projects done a little at a time. Don't overdo that furniture moving!

Oh Chinese! That is one thing I haven't had in a long time. I haven't started any arranging today. I haven't written much and I am trying to write a little more before I get offline for the day and start working on my little clear out project. Did you eye appointment go well? That's something I need to schedule.

@LindaOHio Oh that's good! Glaucoma / other eye problems run in my family. Several relatives have had to deal with a detached retina. I should take better care of my eyes.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes, all the tests were OK; and my eye pressure was good. Thanks for asking.
