There was a Kleenex in one of the pockets

This is when I hate myself. I suppose that everyone does this once in a while but it does NOT help me. First I touched the clothes while I took them out of the washing machine. They were too wet. Then, as I started to take the garments out of the washing machine, a lot of powdered pieces of paper flew all over. This, dear lotters, is when I use all the bad words in Spanish I know. I´ll let them dry and clean them later. And tomorrow, with more light, I´ll clean the washing machine and the bathroom floor. Have you had those problems?

Yes, I have had this problem. But obviously, the German brand Tempo is better than Kleenex. I didn't find powdered pieces of paper after the washing process but a hard ball of paper.

That´s better. But, in fact, I´m not as mad with the extra work as I am with myself.

@marguicha Take it easy! Today I put three letters in a letter-box and then looked for them in my handbag. A five-year-old girl told me that I had just put them in the letter-box. I was shocked about myself!

@MALUSE When I´m alone, I accept more the problems that age brings. But I don´t like to show my inadequacies to others, specially my grandchildren.

On occasion. I have learned to check all pockets before washing now. I use Kleenex, too, and think it's the best tissue out there, but didn't find powdered pieces.

I always check. But sometimes, there´s just one more tiny pocket

Our laundry woman has that mistake of washing the clothes without checking the pockets. My wife would always remind her otherwise the tissue paper would make a mess.

I think that Leticia is far more careful. But I have been alone for several months.

I've done that more than once where I put something into the wash and after taking it out realize I had a tissue in the pocket. Sometimes it stayed in the pocket but sometimes it was all over the place. Have you ever washed something and noticed that inside one of the pockets was paper money?

Not for a very long tome. Years ago, paper money was more like paper. But now it is similar to plastic

@lovebuglena I never put big bills in pockets. In fact, I don´t use bills much. I use credit cards.

@marguicha Good thing the money doesn't fall apart in the wash.

@marguicha You're not dumb at all! Instead, you just forgot to check the pocket. I did that one time, with Jay's candy in a pocket!

That has happened and I have a small vacuum beside the washer just for this.

@marguicha I have two, one for where the cat litter boxes are, and one for the rugs.

On rare occasions it happens in our home. And yes, when it does occur, my Spanish also comes out.

When I was a kid and I forget to empty my pockets and a tissue got into laundry, my mother would be furious.

Yes. I usually just put them in the dryer; and the lint trap catches all the pieces of Kleenex.

My wife checks all the pockets before anything goes in the machine - she has done since some tissues in a pair of my jeans made an awful mess of a load of washing.
