What A Busy Day.

It's been kind of a busy day for me. First, I ran to the bank (for something important) and went grocery shopping with my best friend. We were out for about 2-3 hours, and I was tired when I got home, but I didn't have time to take a nap, so I just sat on the couch for a short while. The first dresser arrived shortly after I got home. I'm not sure why the dressers didn't arrive together, but oh well. Anyways, I worked on a Fiverr order while waiting for the second order. It's not due for a few days, but I didn't want to make my client wait for no reason, plus it gave me something to do. I wound up not working on Textbroker today, but that's okay. The second dresser arrived earlier this evening. Let me tell you, those boxes are heavy lol. My brother-in-law is going to assemble the dressers for me and Mom this weekend. The fabric storage bins I ordered are due here tomorrow. I ordered myself blue one with white polka dots (the pink one was sold out) and my Mother the same one in green. My stuff is in bags and my laundry basket for now, but that'll change over the weekend. Anyways, I removed my broken plastic drawers and cleaned the area to make sure my new dresser can go in smoothly. Once the dresser is assembled and in place, I'll start adding my stuff to it, but that's obvious lol. We had a power outage three times last night, and it happened twice while I was trying to watch an episode of "A Haunting" on the Travel Channel app. I finally gave up and went to bed (the power eventually came back on, but I was already over it). I just finished the episode I was trying to watch last night. I have another episode playing as I finish up this post. I need to write a few of my friends back, and then I'm going to grab a shower before hopefully assembling my new fan. Then, I'm going to bed. On another note, I've mentioned to several of you via comments that Maryland was starting phase one of reopening tomorrow. Well, our Governor also left it up to the city and each county (so we CAN reopen, but we don't HAVE to), and I live in Baltimore City. Our Mayor has decided that we're not starting phase one of reopening right now. I don't know when we're going to hit phase one. I understand it's for health and safety reasons, but that doesn't mean I (or my family) cannot be frustrated, and it IS frustrating. But there's nothing we can do except wait and follow the rules as we've been doing. Anywho, I'm going to wrap up this post so I can work on other things before relaxing. You all have a good night/morning, stay safe and take care. :) Photo Credit: Pixabay.

It's much better to be safe than positive with COVID-19. I'm glad the dressers arrived. Have fun putting them together this weekend.

I totally agree, I want everyone to be safe, so I understand. But I still can't help but to feel frustrated. The Governor made it sound like it was safe for all of Maryland to start phase one of reopening, and then he said it'd be up to each area (which is when our Mayor said it's not safe). From what I can tell, it's not safe yet, but it's annoying to dangle that in front of us only to have it yanked away. And now I feel like we're back in that era of uncertainty because there's no estimate as to when we can start reopening. It sounds like we have a way to go too. :(

@just4him I'm glad you're able to get your hair done again. :) I hope it all goes smoothly! And I can understand why the Governor would say that, it'd probably get too crowded.

That is great the dressers arrived...and that is great that he will put them together for you! Sounds like a good plan! I am sorry to hear about your mayor deciding that....I would be frustrated too!

@MommyOfEli2013 Right lol. Thanks! Thank you. It is frustrating. We were told one thing and then another thing, and it was just.... ugh. I totally get why though. I hope we'll be ready soon, but our Mayor has canceled all major events through Aug. 31st, including 4th of July fireworks. Oh man, I hope people are being cautious.

Thank you so much! I like that I can set things on them without worrying about destroying a plastic drawer lol. It's understandable, we're not ready, but it IS frustrating. I explained more of that in my comment to Valarie. :(

@tammys85 Well that is very good to hear then....that would be nice to not have to worry about that. And I am sorry that your area is not ready....and I did read what you said to her....that would be very frustrating to have that hope dangled and then taken away. Hopefully SOON that your area will be ready! I am not sure that all the counties here are ready - there are about 3 that seem to be hotspots but our governor just opened up the whole state.

So glad the dressers showed up and hope they are easy to assemble. It's normal to be frustrated over it.

Thanks! My nephew assembled them for us. I was going to try myself but I got very confused. I'm not a very "handy" person. Thank you. It sucks to not even know when we can start reopening, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be anytime soon.

I wish those dressers would have already been assembled! You will be happy, to finally have these new ones. Our lockdown is controlled by our Governor and she's following the medical recommendations, of doctors and professionals.

It may have been harder to ship them assembled lol. I'm glad we have them though. Yeah our Mayor is doing the same, since it was left up to him, and we're not ready.
