Life in solitaire confinement. To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub

I´m thinking that tomorrow I will write about what will I do with the rest of my life.
I can´t just wait to see something "happen".
The news are so identical to what they were 2 months ago that they are not news anymore.
So, the question is what I want my life to be. I don´t have the time that my granddaughter has. But maybe I am more patient.
I have noticed that lately I tend to eat everything that surrounds me. I don´t mean that I´m eating that much more, it means that I don´t waste anything. And if I get absolutely tired of something, my faithful companion, Luna, comes along and waits impatiently until I put the food in her dish. (between us, the only food she does not like is dog food But it is the easiest way to feed her).
Did you know that marigolds are among the edible flowers? The first flowers I dared eat were nasturtiums. Later on I discovered that their leaves were edible too.
Why do I talk about edible plants, edible flowers and eating? Because as I don´t know what the new normality will bring, I´ll try to have my own vegetable garden in spite of Luna. I just saw a video about this and it said that we needed to plant 4 (four) bean seeds per person to have green beans for the season.
Dear friends, the day is ending so I can dream about this
. Sleep tight. What are your dreams about? See you tomorrow.

I'm trying my hand at container gardening because the bugs will eat the roots if I plant them in the soil. I have mini tomatoes, basil (which got squashed by heavy rain last week and is not looking happy), cucumbers, and I planted seeds from a kabocha (pumpkin) which have come up and have real leaves (not just seedling leaves) this week.

I think there is a lot of satisfaction in planting something in your own garden that you end up being able to eat. I was not a good gardener when I had a garden but I had fruit trees that looked after themselves that provided me with lots of lovely fruit.

@maggs224 I had such garden years ago. But now I have Luna. When she came home, at 2 months of age, she destroyed a great part of my garden. Now that she is older (but not yet old), at 2 years of age, she minds me more but the damage is done. I will have to start again while teaching Luna to mind my containers OR ELSE

I learned several years ago that nasturtiums are edible. Also, they grow like crazy if you let them. I like a little in the salad. It is kind of peppery tasting.

I'm glad that you are thinking about what you want to do with your life and getting it in order. I dream about work a lot and then traveling.

@LindaOHio Yes. Although I can trade it to use it somewhere else, for some extra money.

My dad used to dip squash flowers in batter and fry them. They were good. He also did that with dandelion buds, but I can't remember if it was before or after they bloomed.

it is a hard time for all of us - coping with something we cannot control.

There are many veggies that we can use in a better way, as I have read lately.

These links show that we need a few plants for each.
