Today's words: dog, consensus, senior, endorse, cute
My poem is below:
All they want is puppies I thought as I sat in there jail,
watching a chance at a home come by and fail.
Senior dogs are cute and we need homes too,
something that I really do wish that they knew.
But puppies chew everything and don't know where to pee,
the consensus should be that an old dog is better you see.
Endorsement for seniors is really the best way to go,
just take me home and watch me go with the flow!

As a senior (when did that happen?), I think of getting a dog.
General consensus in the house agrees.
Landlord does not endorse the idea.
It would be cute to have a puppy, until it chews your underwear.

@ElusiveButterfly Good one! One dog that we adopted from a shelter, chewed up my husband's belt. A cat that we still have and was adopted from a shelter, well, he chewed up the DVD connector cord and computer cords. Sometimes you just can't win.
