Mouthwash / myLot

I never used mouthwash growing up, just toothpaste. After becoming an adult I still didn't use it much. Now that I am an older adult, I have been using this Japanese style of gargle/mouthwash with povidone iodine in it for protection against gum infection. And today i read an article about povidone iodine mouthwash (and some others) killing coronaviruses in the mouth before they can get into lungs. This is obviously a new study, but it makes sense. Japanese have a custom of gargling when they get home anyway, and though I haven't heard anyone suggesting it right now, I am guessing that they do. Anyway, I'm pleased that what I consider to be a somewhat nasty-tasting mouthwash might be good for protecting me. I know it helps as soon as I start getting gum infections! I have also been known to use salt water, green tea (some Japanese people have told me about this) and Listerine (yuck, never again). Do you use mouthwash? What kind do you like?

no i dont. but i would rather gargle water with salt.

I am also font use mouth wash that's much..besides this i use warm salt water when i get pain..

I think that's a good way to prevent it. I use Colgate Plax mouthwash. Not sure if it can help with COVID19 though.

I have used it in the past but not very often, but that is interesting what you say about mouthwash in regard to the virus I had not heard this before this post.
