Saturday!

We are done with another Saturday and now time to try and unwind and relax a bit. It was a boring day. It's wet outside with cloudy skies all day. We didn't get rain until after lunch. My yard has had enough water now so lets skip the rain for next week, okay? I wish!!
I ran to the new Dollar General that is almost inside the city limits of the little town next to us. Our store is not stocked well right now and this store just opened in the last month or two. Everything was nice and neat inside and I would almost just swap over to the new one. I do think I can combine that trip with another to not have to make a special trip just to go there.
The yard is once again drenched and the chicken coop muddy. We only had about an hour of moderate rain today but more to come this evening and tonight. Also, ditto for Sunday and Monday. I'm hoping to get out of the house on Tuesday for a little R&R with one of my daughters. So far only 40% rain for Tuesday, but that can change at any time.
No big plans for tomorrow. We will do whatever we can outside with weather cooperating.
I'm sure you had a more exciting day than I did, right??

Wrong! Our day was less exciting than yours. The only thing interesting was that I watched Joker on HBO last night. Have a great Sunday.

@LindaOHio Thanks, I was forced to take it easy with the weather and soggy ground! Tomorrow is another sunny day so hopefully we can get some work done Wednesday!

We're still in our dry season and have only had sporadic rain showers over the past two months. Lots of wildfires popping up throughout the state as a result. On one hand I love it because it gives me the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather, but on the other hand I don't like seeing all these fires. Looking ahead at the forecast, in about another week to 10 days it looks like our rain chances will start increasing. Toward the end of May is when we usually start our rainy season. The rain will be welcome, but not the humidity that comes with it.

@moffittjc I wish I could send it on over! I plan on working out in the yard today although we have a 40% chance of rain and it looks like we may get it since we are close to the state lines, so I'll do what I can.

@kareng We need some of that moisture from you! We're still pretty dry here. The rain we've been getting is not doing enough to ease the dryness. It's been just enough to keep everything green, but not to ease our drought conditions.

That brought a laugh! Just the other day I was asking my hubby if he was running an errand on Wednesday, the following day. he said, "Tomorrow is Thursday." I said no, today is Tuesday and tomorrow is Wednesday. Look on your phone." I find myself looking on my cell to see what day of the week it is often.

@andriaperry Yep, the high percentages of rain daily for about 9 days in a row is what is hitting us. The percentages have gone down a bit for this coming week so I'm hoping to get some things done here and errands!

Jay worked today, while I stayed home and did a few things around the house. No, it wasn't an exciting day, we ordered pizza for supper. Tomorrow, Jay has the day off, which I'm happy about.
