The other day I got a phone call from a national newspaper asking me if I would like to subscribe to their digital edition . I said I did not want to do this because I enjoy buying and reading the print version of the paper.
Afterwards I thought that maybe they are going to do away with printed newspapers and expect all their customers to subscribe to the digital version.
I do hope not.

Maybe they're just conducting a survey.

@lazydaizee That will be so sad if they have to close it down.

@cherriefic It is sad when things like this close down because it is like the end of a way of life.

Maybe they are trying to see how many people will go digital before they close the printing works down.

Our local newsagents were still delivering papers until the lockdown. I am wondering if they will still deliver when things are back to normal, but by then most of their customers could have gone digital.

I can too, it seems to be the way that most things are going these days.

I am worried that the newspaper printers will close down, because then we will have to go digital if we want to read a paper.
