Since we didn't get to go out for our normal Mother's Day dinner, I decided to ask the hubby to go buy me some new lilies in a color I didn't have.
I sent him our co-op in our small town. I had seen some lilies blooming a couple of weeks ago so knew they at least had them. They don't have a lot of stock when it comes to plants.
Turns out all they had left were the yellow lilies like the ones I already have and a Ming Toy lily that is a dark burgundy with a yellow center. Bingo! He brought me two home and I can't wait until they bloom. It appears that I missed this years blooming unless I can get them into a second round with some fertilizer. I have already repotted them as they were root bound.
The photo is of the picture shown on the card that was on the lilies. I think I did good!!

You are going to have so much color in your yard by the time you're done that people are going to think you operate a local botanical garden! haha

My oldest daughter's ex in-laws have a yard that is ALL flowers. It is really neat. You can walk through to find a bench, or in another area a swing, yet another table and chairs. It's really amazing. We talked about trying to do that here but hubby decided it wasn't going to happen. Maybe I can work toward that goal! But I think I'd rather be able to see if someone was in my yard or not, especially at night.

@kareng I'm sure that yard was a beautiful sight, but can you imagine how much work it took to take care of it all? It'd be a never-ending battle to keep up with everything!
