Pigeons .....pinching the bread ! Pesky birds !!!

Well, I suppose that technically they are not really pinching it as I have yet to inform them that the bread is not for them ….problem is HOW do I make it clear to them , seeing as they clearly do not understand my " shooing" and I can not speak pigeon !!!
So, here it is …
I am putting out left over bread, a bit each day, for the lovely birds that come into out garden.....
BUT
the pesky pigeons are coming along and taking it all before the other birds get a look in....
As I say, I AM trying to shoo them away ( after letting them have some ) but they are not listening …
What on earth can I do !!!

You can't discriminate; make it hard for the pigeons and they'll get all their mates to come and poop on your washing hanging in the garden. Pigeons have feelings and bellies too! *laughs*

I really can't think of a way to stop them. If all the other birds are smaller, you might be able to put the bread under a netting 'cage' so the little birds can get through but the pigeons can't.

I hope they will leave soon after enjoying their time for sometime there.
