At Almaden Lake Park today there were several families of Canada geese with goslings.babies were in various stages of development. There were some were still fuzzy and yellow. Other could be classified as "teenagers" with Elongated bodies and what looks like half feathers and half down. The parents hiss if you get too close for their liking.

We have them here, too, and saw them at the high school on our walk. They can be mean and nasty birds, so we keep our distance and watch where we are stepping.

The half-grown ones look like gawky teenagers, don't they?

Thank you for sharing the fact that the geese hiss at anyone who gets too close to them.
